Amazing Resource for Raising a Healthy Cat! -
We recently adopted some kittens from a local rescue shelter so I immediately went to our local bookstore to find a book or two on caring for cats. I picked up this one after just skimming through it. When I got home I sat down and read it like a novel - I couldn't put it down. I learned so much and the author's narrative writing style kept me reading. In fact, my husband took over caring for our 4 children for the day just so I could keep reading! I usually don't read reference books like that. This is such a wonderful resource!

A wonderful reference for cat care -
This is an updated version of a book that has been a "cat owner's Bible" for many years. Her information is excellent, easy to read, and very helpful.
Anitra obviously knows cats and their needs well, and gives reasons and background for her advice, all written from a practical viewpoint and with a certain amount of whimsy. I highly recommend this book. And so do all the "kitty kids" in my own and extended family, who are healthy, happy, and beautiful thanks to a lot of her advice.

Very helpful reference -
I have an earlier version of The Natural Cat and have consulted it so many times when I have health or diet concerns for my cats. It has helpful advice on so many different topics -- from nutrition, to diarhea, coat to nails. I highly recommend this book for any pet owner who is looking for alternatives to always running to the vet or giving medicine.

Anitra Frazier and Norma Eckroate have done cats and their humans a huge, humanitarian service by offering a truly comprehensive, well-written and compassionate celebration of all things related to the holistic health and care of cats. Education is always the key in fostering health, safety and behavior. Certainly this book deserves a prominent placement on everyone's bookshelf.
