False Sense of Hope -

The only reason this program was successful is because it labeled alcoholism as a disease, and so it got implemented into treatment centers that are paid by insurance. AA says alcoholism is a "spiritual" disorder. This is to then say that spiritual disorders are diseases. Nonsense!
This book offers no help to anyone who has logic and sense. It doesn't tell you that even if you follow the steps, that you'll still have to attend meetings for the rest of your life.

My natural health e-book - Discover the amazing powers of whole foods! Over 3,129 home remedies using whole foods as medicine.

If you're struggling with alcohol, this is your Bible. It is essential to have and read this book if you have any hope of freeing yourself from alcohol. This book will only help (in most cases) in conjunction with other steps one needs to to take to heal. The first and foremost is joining AA and working through the steps with a sponsor and the support of your AA group. If you think you might need help with an alcohol problem, you do!
Its Time Has Passed -

This overhyped book is basically for people of low worth and low intellect who won't face the truth about this dishonest cult of ignorance, ego and hypocrisy. After all these years and four editions (plenty of time to correct itself) it's still attributing a quote to Herbert Spencer that he never made... and that's only the start of of the unexamined claims and sick pieties of this "book." You don't want to drink, don't drink. You don't need to get maudlin about it, and kneejerk sickening sentimentality is all you'll find in this "Big Book." Steer clear of it and the attached cult.
This book has saved hundreds of thousands of liveslives! -

This book tells exactly how hundreds of thousands of real alcoholics have been saved from alcoholism. How can anyone be critical of that if it works? Only the stupid, or ignorant can criticize a book which has literally saved so many people from certain death (not to mention the thousands more they could have victimized).
It is truly a miracle, by virtue of all of the people it has saved.
True, there are thousands more who have failed the program of recovery this book details, but in that is the reason. They failed to do exactly what this book directs them to do. The book didn't fail them.
I personally know a few real alcoholics who were on their last legs when this book came into their lives. All who followed and embraced it's teachings are sober. The one who failed at it would not do what it directed him to do. He died eventually with wet brain (the non technical term for Wernicke-Korsakoff syndrome).
I implore anyone with drinking problems to get this book and seek out AA.
