Not so good -
This basal thermometer is not very good...I have been using one from Walgreens and it gives you a reading like 97.89, this one however will only give you reading like 97.8....to me there is a big difference in just 97.8 and 97.89, especially if you are charting your temp.For me I personally like the one that gives me more information.

That's the best basal thermometer ever !

Pros
- The light !! (I saw a comment saying the light just show up when you turn it on... not right...you put it in your mouth and wait (bip bip ..) at the end you press once to turn it off and your temperature will show up with light for a couple of seconds before turning off....then.... next time you turn it on, it still have the memory of the last temperature recorded
- The beep is good !
- The design (kinda round kinda cool)


Cons
none ! (For the one who thought it is just one tenth of a degree, it's true but you don't need more than that for basal temperature anyway)

Great product! -
I am charting my basal body temperature and I tried another thermometer before this one that was giving me readings all over the place. This one is very precise and I like that it remembers the last temperature in case I don't write it down right away.

Only records to the tenths place -
This is my third basal thermometer. The first was chewed up by my dog; the second, and current thermometer, is a Walgreen's brand and only beeps when it has reached the highest measured temperature. I wanted a thermometer that beeps continuously as it measures temperature so I purchased the BD basal thermometer from Amazon and was surprised to find that it did not record the hundredths place as my first two generic thermometers did, i.e. 98.2 instead of 98.26. I believe recording the hundredths place is the main function of a basal thermometer. Also, I found it to be rather inaccurate. My BBT, as measured from the first two thermometers, is a bit on the low side when I'm not ovulating (usually 97.xx), but this one continuously reads 98.x, and does not change throughout the day. Needless to say I am back to using the Walgreen's version.

in retrospect... -
I read the reviews before buying,and thought that the beep wouldn't bother me much. I now wish I had gone for one that doesn't beep. Having a backlight feature with the final reading would have been great too. It isn't awful, but it is annoying. I used it about two weeks, but gave up.
