Next time you tangle with poison ivy, oak or sumac, remember that there is a way to help improve your symptoms simply by washing them away.

Zanfel helps lift the toxin, urushiol, common to poison ivy, oak and sumac from the skin where it has come into contact and bound to the epidermis. This binding of plant toxin creates the allergic rash known as poison ivy. By washing the urushiol oil out of the skin cells, relief comes more quickly.

Zanfel is the only product known to remove urushiol from the skin after breakout while relieving itching in seconds. Other products may temporarily relieve itching but do not remove urushiol after symptoms have begun. Zanfel is effective at any stage of the reaction and often with only one wash. Most individuals experience relief from the itching within 30 seconds of application. The rash will begin to subside within hours is the reaction is mild to moderate.

Simply rub into areas of poison ivy (oak or sumac) rash, and rinse off after 1 minute. If itching remains after rinsing, repeat and allow cream to remain on skin for 3 minutes before rinsing. May be repeated 3 times a day for severe cases of poison ivy.

You may still use other poison ivy treatments with your Zanfel for additional relief if needed.Safe to use on face and groin; keep out of eyes.

OMG - thank you!!! -
I was suffering from some poison ivy/oak/whatever - no idea when or how I came in contact - but it was on both wrists. The itching would reach moments that amputation seemed like a relatively sane idea. The inflammation was at its peak and I was at my wit's end.

I found this product - it was pricey, but my next stop was to the doctor's office so this was still cheaper than that which would have also meant a prescription.

OMG - was great to rub it in and satisfy the itch! After washing it off - it was awesome that the itching subsided. AMAZING!

Seriously, the redness and swelling immediately improved and my wrists were starting to look normal again. It has now been just 12 hours since I first used the product and the rash, swelling, etc. had subsided by at least 75%. The itching is almost gone - I reapply every few hours if needed.

I'm excited I can go to work tomorrow without oozing rash driving me nuts along with the overwhelming urge to scratch. Thank goodness the amputation route was unnecessary :)

relieved the itch and sped healing -
I am hugely reactive to poison ivy and had a rash for two days when my wife bought this product. It was a bit pricey but like she said..."Would you pay $1000 for something that relieved the itching?" It worked for the first 12 hours and I had to reapply. Each time I reapplied, it worked for a while longer and I do believe it sped healing. I will buy this product in the future...sooner than later after coming in contact with the elusive poison ivy.

It's great, but is not an all-in-one solution! -
I'm one of those lucky ones that really is sensitive to poison ivy (or oak or sumac, take your pick). The urishol oil spreads like wildfire on my skin. At the moment, I use 3 different products, two made by another company, plus this one here that was recommended by a friend.

Pro:
-Great for itch relief, feels "gritty" to the touch... aaah, that light abrasive feels so good!
-Light odor and no discoloration of skin or clothes, besides you wash it off
-Slows/stops spread of poisons so in this sense shortens your outbreak

Con:
-USE AS DIRECTED! Vigorous scrubbing is not a good idea... don't take short cuts, you'll be sorry
-Itch relief is short-lived, best thought of as a cleanser
-Price... ouch! They have you over a barrel and they know it

Zanfel is a miracle cure for my poison oak -
After years and years of increasingly serious poison oak outbreaks I learned about Zanfel from a fellow hiker along the trail. Since I have tried virtually every cure I was doubtful.

My next case of poison oak I went to the drug store and shelled out the $35. Outrageous price--I agree. But I have spent that much on dinner and not flinched. I applied it on a large patch of itching rash. Within 60 seconds the itching was gone. Amazing. I had to apply two more times to finish it off. I could not believe it. I have had two more cases--both cured by Zanfel.

I have no idea how it works--but I am amazed and grateful.

If you have a serious case--especially eyes or are feeling utterly miserable--get a doctor to write you a prescription for prednisone ASAP. If you are a mom with outdoor active kids, keep some of this at home. In a pinch Benadryl topical gel can tide you over until you get some Zanfel.

A pointless waste of a lot of money -
This is by far the most expensive OTC drug I have ever purchased. I applied it two days after exposure, after blisters had already appeared. While it did relieve the itching temporarily, it did absolutely zilch to accelerate healing. My blisters appeared to continue on their normal course, which means I got more of them, and they got worse, and they continued to weep. The itching returned.

I didn't bother to go in for a second round because I didn't want to rip the daylights out of some fragile blisters with a scrubby soap like this one.

If all I wanted to do was stop the itching overnight, I could just take some Benadryl pills, and have myself knocked out for a few hours. A heck of a lot cheaper, and it actually works, if only temporarily.
